The Nebraska Housing Developers Association collaborates with other organizations to provide Nebraskans with quality affordable housing choices. Contact us for more information on these programs.
 
Making Homes Accessible Rehabilitation Loan Program, administered with the Assistive Technology Partnership, helps existing homeowners with a disability make accessibility modifications to remain in their homes. The program includes rehabilitation to address housing quality standards. To apply, submit a Service and Device Application to the Assistive Technology Partnership.

Homeownership Opportunity Program (HOP) is another effort administered with the Assistive Technology Partnership, and helps people with a disability to become homeowners. This program may include rehabilitation work to make accessibility modifications and address housing quality standards. To apply, submit a Service and Device Application to the Assistive Technology Partnership.

Readiness Education Awareness Collaborative for Homebuyers and Homeowners (REACH) is statewide homebuyer education delivery system that functions as a collaborative of nonprofit organizations, lending institutions, government agencies, real estate professionals and educational organizations.  The Association serves as the Lead Agency and coordinates the effort, offering Train the Trainer workshops to improve the delivery of quality homebuyer education, expanding the number of REACH Affiliate Organizations, and gathering data to show the impact of homebuyer education.
 
FirstDown Nebraska is a statewide initiative funded by FHLBank Topeka and managed in collaboration with First National Bank Omaha. The program provides down payment and closing cost assistance to eligible Nebraska borrowers who meet specific conditions. All borrowers must be referred by an Association non-profit member and attend REACH homebuyer education training

RentWise - Nebraska helps Nebraskans become successful renters through interactive classes focused on the following topics: Communication with Landlords and Neighbors, Managing Your Money, Find a Place to Call Home, Getting Through the Rental Process, Take Care of Your Home and When you Move Out.  The Association serves as a member of the RentWise Coalition.  Other members of the Coalition include: Assistive Technology Partnership, Community Action Partnership of Western Nebraska, Lincoln Housing Authority, Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Region V Systems and the University of Nebraska - Lincoln Extension.
